Quickie:) Clearing one's mind and stress level.

No! not that kind of quickie LOL Though it would have the same results...

Been busy with some organizational things this week. Also, so as not to continue to expand while I studiously sit in front of this laptop night after night, I've begun an exercise regiment.

Yay!

I have taken up a two and a half mile walk in the nearby park after work each evening. Wow! it hotter than Hell but it feels great! And you know what? My head is clearer, I'm less stressed and sleeping a whole lot better!

For a couple years now, I've come home from the day job, turned on the computer, got dinner ready and sat in front of the computer for the rest of the evening--day after day, everyday. Well, as you can well imagine it takes a toll on the body, mental being, and stress levels. I actually had begun to hate my computer because I felt chained to it in a manner that I don't take any time for myself and other activities--in short, a life!

Well, that is all changing and so is the ten extra pounds I'm carrying around in the mid section. Yikes! that is the thing that most bothers me. Anyway, just thought I'd drop in and tell you about my newfound relaxation/exercise discovery.

I suggest everyone consider doing this if you don't already. It feels so good!

  1. Sounds like a great idea! I agree, doing the day job then writing is a sure-fire way to hate your computer. Best of luck with your new exercise plan!

  2. I so agree. I want to start walking, back is not being helpful though, but I might try doing some exercise that won't make me scream.

I could use a quickie to get my mind clear after the day job.

    Thanks Dayana!

  3. Extra ten pounds. Are you kidding. You are thin as a rail!
But I will admit sitting in front of this computer all day, is not good for a body. Especially if you work with a computer all day.
You actually have to move around, use it or lose it.

  5. Walking does tend to clear the mind. I fully agree. But I can't believe you have an extra 10 pounds hanging around, either.
