A Prepublished Novel in the Process of Revisions and Rewrites

Good Morning! Today has broken into a dark paranormal author's dream. It's dark and stormy. The type of day to curl up with a cup of coffee and soak in the imagery.

Rain pitters against the windows, while the absence of wind casts an eerie deathlike stillness and the silence of birdsong speaks of an omen to heed. The calm before the storm? Darkness deepens cloaking the morning in dismal lethargy...

Well as much as I'd love to enjoy the ambiance of this dreary morning, I digress. It is, afterall, another work day and I really should be moving along with the usual morning activities.

Oh, but I so enjoy dismal weather...

  1. Do you? Well I'm a sunshine girl all the way-- probably because I have to endure so much rain and cold on and off here in the NE! Have a grand day, Dayana.

  2. So descriptive. I love it! But we've got gorgeous clear skies and 70 degree weather - in August!! Enjoy the storm clouds. NJ is just happy to see the sun again.

  5. Hi, Kaye. I think it's because I have sunshine and warmth all the time here so dreary is fun, LOL Stormy is awesome and well, when we get that rare 30-40 degree weather I am invigorated!

Mickey, hey! Glad you picked up on the descriptive:) I was going for imagery, LOL I heard NJ wasn't having much of a summer but then growing up there that's par for the course.

Hey, Catherine. I personally traded my sunshine so you would have a vibrant release day! Congrats! Many sales to you:)
