Two days and counting...

My new author spotlight series will begin Thursday! Please bring yourself and all your friends to hang out with Traci Hall, YA paranormal and historical romance author.

Traci will be joining me here, Thursday, September 3rd for the debut of the weekly spotlight feature. And Traci will be giving away a lucky winner's choice of print or digital copy of her newest release, Something Wiccan This Way Comes!

Each week a new author will grace my blog and tell us all kinds of stuff about themselves. Why not add this blog to your list of favorites haunts. Also, if you haven't already done so, I'd love for you to sign up to Dayana's Happenings. Just click on the Yahoo Groups icon on the right sidebar. Get first notice of new events, releases, contest information, and newsletters.

Also, September's newsletter will be coming soon! I'm a bit behind but will have the newsletter ready within the next few days. I'm really excited about all this new activity here and hope you are too.

If you are a published author and want to participate in the "Author Spotlight" feature please email me at gothscribegirl@aol.com. I'd be happy to accommodate you. I'm booked now through November and as far out as April, 2010.

Gotta go for now, but I'll catch up with you all again soon:)

Afternoon, all! Some updates...

Just wanted to let you all know I'm hanging out over at the Pink Fuzzy Slipper Writers blog today. We're gabbing about promo. Hop on over and drop your two cents on us. Can't get enough ideas for new ways to get our names out there and make them stick:)

Also, I wanted to thank Zacke and Faith for being here the other day. It was a lot of fun learning what makes Zacke tick and I think much of that is his woman, Miranda. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a hot, alpha male who is totally in love with you? Wow! Is it warm in here?

One more thing to mention. Yesterday I made an announcement that I would be adding yet one more new feature to this blog. An "Author Spotlight" segment each Thursday starting September. There is something I forgot to mention. This offer is to authors who write in ANY genre. Not just Paranormal. I would, however, like to keep Paranormal authors active the month of October though. So book now as I believe two dates are already taken which only leaves two more unless, of course, there happens to be five weeks in October *grin*

For details hop over to Dayana's Happenings and see the complete notice about the "Author Spotlight" segment. If you have not joined DH my informational loop then just scroll down the right sidebar of this blog click on the "Yahoo Group Icon" and join. You will also be able to access my free monthly newsletter if you click on 'File' in the left sidebar menu. And you can check the 'Calendar' for what's upcoming events such as who will be guestblogging, where I will be or which author will be spotlighted next.

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to stop over and pipe in on your promo ideas at PFSWB.

Newsletters...

Here ye! Here ye! Read all about it!

Well, I'm knee deep into my first newsletter and wondering what it is besides who you are and what you do that might be interesting to the masses. Just figuring the formatting you want can be a challenge. I've done it two ways: one with preset formatting and on my own, however, I will not diclose which route I've taken:) I did like both but one seemed more useful than the other.

I do want to discuss what things those of you who have done your own newletters may have included and those of you who like to peruse them are interested in seeing included.

My thoughts are a brief bio, a catalog of available books, upcoming events, maybe short craft or off-topic discussions? Upcoming projects, WIPs, and links?

What do you think?

I look forward to your thoughts. Meanwhile, I'm going to get back at it. The newsletter, that is:)
